Prostate and Men’s Health

The prostate gland is a small sized gland, located between the bladder and the penis. Its major function is to secrete semen fluid.

Do you always have a burning sensation during urination as a man? Have you always had a slow and/or weak urinary stream? You might be dealing with BPH.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia also known as Prostate gland enlargement happens to a vast number, if not all men as they age.

According to statistics, very few prostate related health issues occur by age 20. By age 40, many men start to experience some prostate enlargement, while nearly 50% of men start to experience some level of prostate issues by age 50.

At age 60, prostate issues may range from mild inconvenience to serious lifestyle disruptions like lack of sleep caused by frequent nighttime urination.

Up to 90% of men at age 80 and above will have this condition and about a third will have symptoms that require attention.

The cause of prostate enlargement remains unknown, however, it is believed to be largely hormonal. The prostate gland is a small sized gland, located between the bladder and the penis. Its major function is to secrete semen fluid. The seven fluids help the sperm move down the urethra while protecting the sperm from damage that may occur as a result of the acidity of the vagina. It also helps regulate urine flow.

Common Symptoms

  • Burning sensation when urinating
  • Frequent urination: the need to pee more than 7 times a day
  • Ringing : the pea is weak, so you have to stop, start, stop severally.
  • The need to urinate urgently
  • Nocturia: the urge to wake up every night to relieve yourself.
  • Trouble in the process of urinating, which causes you to put extra effort before peeing.
  • Weak stream due to the fact that the bladder is not emptying properly due to enlarged prostate blocking the urethra.

When To Visit The Doctor

A baseline prostate exam like the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) or the Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) should be considered by men within the ages 45 and 49.

According to the American Cancer Society, screening for early detection of prostate cancer should take place at Age 50 for men who are at average risk of prostate cancer and are expected to live at least 10 more years, Age 45 for men at high risk of developing prostate cancer (men who have a father or brother diagnosed with prostate cancer at an early age younger than age 65), and Age 40 for men at even higher risk (men with more than one first-degree relative who had prostate cancer at an early age).

There are several recommendations for prostate health, some of which are alphablocker (these help urination easier), laser therapy, surgeries, depending on how mild or otherwise your symptoms are.

Rida Bitters is also a suitable, natural, safe and effective supplement. It has amazing anticancer properties.
